Activities: |
There are two Men's teams and one Ladies team who compete
regularly both summers and winters in the Surrey County Squash League..
For information about results and general information about
the league, visit http://county.leaguemaster.co.uk/
There are full results, division tables and fixture lists.
Additionally we run two Veterans teams, results and other information
is
available on the same website.
We also run juniors'
teams.
We run ladder leagues with five players in a league. You play all the other four members of your league during a seven week period. The top two players are promoted and the bottom two relegated. The ladder is an excellent way to meet other members and find your standard. The league organiser plays in new members so that they start at the right level.
Every Monday (except Bank Holidays) we hold a Club Night
starting at 7m. Players of all standards mix in. A committee member
organises the evening, and a ladder is run primarily for club night
matches. Another good way for new members to get to know everyone.
A knock out tournament is held at the end of the season, usually just
before
Easter. There are several competitions including men's open, ladies
open,
handicap, veterans, and doubles. Always an enjoyable three weeks.
The tennis section is very active with plenty of opportunities to play enjoyable tennis.
We run mix in sessions on Saturday mornings all the year round and Wednesday nights during the summer.
The Club sessions on Saturday mornings continue throughout
the year,
all are welcome.
Play at Ashtead Players under Lights - The Club has made use of an
existing arrangement with the Players to use their courts on Tuesday
evenings

| The bar is open every evening and at weekend lunchtimes and serves the usual range of cold and hot drinks, including two or three real ales. | ![]() |
There are frequent social events including Christmas Parties, a New Year's disco, quizzes, golf, jazz, darts and much else. For the latest programme click here. Details are also posted on the social noticeboard in the clubroom.
There is also a '100 club', a club lottery which costs
£5 per month to join with prize draws on the last Friday of
every month. The money raised is used for purchasing special items for
the club, such as a TV and video.
| The club's snooker and pool tables are in a separate
room, with ample space all round. The snooker table can be used by purchasing tokens for the lights from the stewards. The pool table operates on the usual coin-slot principle, 50p per game, which also operates the lights. |
